International Association of Water Rescue Professionals
The International Association of Water Rescue Professionals (IAWRP) was established in the fall of 2012 to provide a vehicle for the surface water rescue community at large to encourage open dialog between users, trainers, regulators and industry to further the advancement of the safety, operational efficiency and performance of this complex discipline.
The ever-changing worldwide political and natural environments are presenting new challenges to the surface water rescue community that requires a more connected inter operable approach to meet these challenges.

Water Rescue Conferences
IAWRP hosts annual events in North America and Europe to bring together the global water rescue community. These events serve as the premier annual assemblies of water rescue professionals from around the world to enhance the water rescue profession. These events serve as a platform to share best practices and build a network of dedicated professionals from around the world who are working together to improve the water community globally.
The North American Water Rescue Conference is held in South Bend, Indiana and provides a range of pre-conference courses, as well as three days of sessions, including hands-on, covering all aspects of water and flood search and rescue. There are tracks for water rescuers, squad leaders, as well as program development and management.
Additionally IAWRP, hosts the European Water Rescue Conference in Cardiff, Wales to provide an additional venue to bring water rescues professionals together with both classroom sessions as well as hands-on sessions.

Individual & Team Membership
Corporate membership is available in a non-voting role to industry partner who manufactures, sells, or provides services to the Water Rescue Community. Corporate Membership is included in sponsorship of an annual event but is also available for those unable to attend IAWRP events each year.
Corporate Support & Membership
Individual Membership is included with attendance to an annual IAWRP sanctioned event. For those unable to attend, an Associate Membership can be purchased annually. Team Memberships are also available for paid and unpaid professional water rescue teams at no cost.
